About the Organisation:
This is a FORTUNE 500 company. This company is a leading global manufacturer which provides unparalleled residential products. This role reports to the Asia-Pacific Finance Director who is based in Shanghai.
Key Responsibilities:
• responsible for all finance corporate services projects in China, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong and any other places we have a business presence; ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations / legal requirements; develop and maintain a highly motivated, professional, prudent and reliable project team to assist in setting up the financial system as well as exercising internal control
• provide expertise for local management in improving internal controls by harmonising policies among businesses within the Asia-Pacific region
• manage all key accounting and reporting activities to achieve the maximum performance and profitability at the highest efficiency; centralise more functions into Shared Service Center; lead finance trainee programmes to facilitate the growth of finance’s organisation talent pool; monitor shared services building related expenditures and rental/expenses allocation to businesses
• participates in strategic planning and implementation of financial operations strategy in Asia; establish financial procedures and systems, reporting systems and proper controls
• perform the necessary financial analyses, for corporate functions including finance, IT, payroll, building services as well as finance shared services’ satellite operations in India
• take the initials for corporate functions departmental expense planning, analysis and cost control; work with external vendors on certain business process outsourcing initiatives; develop a cordial relationship with business finance team and plant finance managers in Asia Pacific region; keep the senior management of the company informed of all relevant financial information at all times
Key Requirements:
• qualified accountants with a BS/BA degree required; CICPA preferred
• at least four years’ relevant experience in public accounting and/or industry, some of which with major multinationals; minimum one year in a supervisory position
• SAP or equivalent ERP system knowledge, understanding about AM model will be a plus
• results-oriented and possess a passion for continuous improvement
• able to work effectively in a constantly evolving / changing organisation; excellent interpersonal and time management skill
• fluent in Englishs
