Job Responsibilities:
• the IT risk & security management's (ITRSM) organization ensures the security of the firm's computing environment, protects customer and employee confidential information, and complies with regulatory requirements globally. this is accomplished through strong information security leadership and active collaboration with line of business information risk managers to provide high quality security solutions and services that are focused on improving the firm's risk posture
• the ITRSM IT risk and compliance (ITRAC) team has responsibility for oversight and governance of IT risk issues across the firm. in addition to developing processes and supporting tools for risk assessments, regulatory compliance, policies and standards, and management of firm wide risk initiatives, it has firmwide responsibility for IT risk and security communications, training and awareness
• the ITRAC regulatory - asia manager is responsible managing the IT regulatory agenda in the region. this includes developing relationships with the key regulators in the region, managing the flow of information between JPMC and the agencies, and facilitating on site reviews and visits
• develop a "contact list" of all applicable regulatory agencies in the region
• develop and advise on regulations that impact the IT risk and security programs of the firm in all Asian locations
• help drive the global regulatory management program for ITRSM
• engage with regulators and JPMC staff to respond to requests for information, and more formal reviews, using the firmwide regulatory review process
• learn regulator tendencies and advise on upcoming changes that may impact the firm
• understand regulator and regulatory differences between locations
• liaise with ITRSM personnel in each country to form a coordinated regional approach and strategy
• track all regulator contacts, requests, information submissions, reviews and findings
• as part of the global ITRAC team, engage in other related activities (controls design, risk identification, risk assessment and risk treatment) as required
Key Requirements:
• ten to twelve years related business experience, with three to five years in risk management and/or technology audit functions is strongly desired
• previous experience working with (or for) a diverse set of regulators in the region. knowledge and experience in conducting regulator reviews
• proven ability to examine, improve and execute the organization's existing processes and procedures for risk assessment
• ability to lead within a cross line of business technology organization, empower people, build rapport, garnering respect and appropriately exercising authority in a collaborative cross-cultural environment
• strong written & verbal presentation skills to a variety of senior managers across the region
• stakeholder engagement skills, including ability to interact with senior levels of management
• CISSP/CISM preferred
• formal project management training (PMI/Six sigma/other) and project management experience
• experience in matrixed, global organization
