About the Organisation:
This is a US based luxury organisation which has been in China for over 10 years. This position will be responsible for the purchasing of leather goods and handbags.
Key Responsibilities:
• provide input for open-to-buy preparation
• liaise with buyer on merchandising
• provide input and feedback on product requirement for the market
• communicate organisation’s vision, strategy and directions to retail staff
• plan out retail activities and allocate responsibilities
• propose layout adjustments as needed to ensure commercial efficiency
Key Requirements:
• bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a merchandising or buying capacity in a related business or brand; wholesale or international experience is a plus
• five to eight years’ supervisory experience
• excellent product sense
• team-oriented and collaborative with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships across multiple levels and influence business decisions with internal and external partners
• highly organised & proactive with strong ownership and passion for the brand
