Key Responsibilities:

•support the government relations manager to develop the company’s government communications and public policy strategies through macroeconomic and policy research (e.g. new policies, changes in government hierarchy, political trends and events, as well as their impact on the company's business, and other macroeconomic issues)
•analyze and present China macroeconomic and policy executive reports to company China management
•support the government relations manager to strengthen relationships of the Company with key policy makers within the central, provincial, and local governments and with coalitions of which the company is a member
•support the government relations manager to develop a public policy plan that targets key issues and government challenges for the business and early involvement in regulations and legislation that are of interest to the company
•strengthen the connections between the activities of the government relations team and the business objectives of the company
•help develop a greater awareness within the company of the government relations’ contribution to the profit line of the company
•support the government relations manager to manage external consultants to achieve the Company’s objectives
•support the government relations manager to build the China government relations office as one of the most effective at company
•support the government relations manager to tell the company China story strategically and effectively to key opinion and government leaders in China
•coordinate with company government relations teams based in Zurich, Switzerland

Key Requirements:

•undergraduate degree is required, a graduate degree in related functions is preferred
•minimum of five-ten years corporate affairs experience with over three years of government relations experience
•ability to converse in Chinese and English fluently
•ability to meet deadlines, and able to work under pressure and with competing demands
