Senior Legal Counsel

The Regional Senior Counsel will provide legal and compliance advice to business sectors across the APAC Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice, updates, requirements on all business activities of our offices in the Asia Pacific region, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
• Work closely with our global Corporate Legal Department for internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance, data privacy and licensing issues
• Provide legal support to business operations including IT, HR and Finance, either for standalone matters or in conjunction with primary role
• Manage the work of external legal counsels as needed
• Carry out such other duties as assigned by the Management

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) with around 5 years’ relevant legal experience in a regional law firm or in-house legal team.Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin essential to communicate with Mandarin-speaking associates and to draft/review Chinese documentation and contracts
• The ability to work both independently and as part of an inter-disciplinary team
• Good stakeholder management skills
• Able to balance the roles of business partner and control function
• Willingness to travel within the Asia region
