Our client is looking for a Tax Manager in Guangdong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax compliance and reporting:
- Supervising tax team /agency to complete various tax filing of China region on timely and accurate basis
- Delivering tax compliance guideline to local finance /SSC and prepare cash tax budget /risk profile as per group standard
- Implementing regular tax internal control campaign with SSC/local finance to improve tax awareness on risk control
- Updating practical tax compliance guidance, thru online tutorial and platform
- Tax Optimization:
- Supporting on corporate restructuring to optimize legal structures, minimize effective tax rate
- Supporting on all M&A and capex initiatives
- Participating in lobbying effort for favorable tax and fiscal policy that affects Group China
- Transfer pricing:
- Liaising external agency and supporting BU finance in preparing and putting in place defendable Transfer Pricing documentations for annual intercompany transaction reporting and TP audit
- Lead regional team to perform assessment of the key inter-co transactions, evaluate risk and propose alternatives to mitigate TP risk
- Tax advisory:
- Advise the most tax efficient way for inter-co transactions and ensure the documentation are put in place before invoicing
- Keeping ahead of the curve and update changes on tax rules and regulations and timely communicate to various stakeholders, assess their impact and suggest actions to mitigate the risk and tap into potential planning opportunities
- Tax audit:
- Support BU finance in identification and mitigation of tax and controversy risk
- Coordination of tax and custom audit on sites to avoid unexpected or unacceptable reputational damages or metoary exposures including targeting a more accurate tax provision processes
- Liaising with local tax authorities for overall tax governance in China
Key Requirements:
- 8-10 years of experience in a tax or audit firm or similar position within multinational company
- CPA, Graduated Business School or equivalent
- Fluent in English
