Our client is a venture platform consisting of investment teams working together across Hong Kong, China, India, Japan, Europe and the US. They are looking for a professionals who has high interest in high-tech sector with very strong English fluency plus 1 to 2 years of working experiences from management consulting firms, investment banks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing:
- Make cold calls. Sourcing from other channels is encouraged under the direction of senior staff, but is not a primary job duty
- Continuously and systematically build, maintain and apply one’s:
- Network of deal sources with constructive and cooperative working relationships (VCs, entrepreneurs, strategic, professional networks, academic institutions, etc.)
- Knowledge in one or more domains
- Knowledge of recent developments in general business, finance, and economic theory
- Market & Company Analysis:
- Do desktop and primary research (surveys, interviews, company meetings, etc.) to gather information about market size, key players, their management teams, suppliers, customers, products, etc.
- Analyse financial data (company financials, comparable, etc.). to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions
- Draw charts and graphs to illustrate financial reports and analysis
- Investment Judgement:
- Screen deals with selection criteria set by senior staff
- Deal Execution (Investment Process):
- Due Diligence o Do desktop and primary research (surveys, interviews, company meetings, etc.) to gather information about market size, key players, their management teams, suppliers, customers, products, etc.
- Valuation o Gather relevant data to produce cap tables and valuation models. May do preliminary analysis
- Deal Structure & Negotiation o Gather relevant data to produce scenario analyses. May do preliminary analysis
- Documentation o Gather relevant data to write different types of investment recommendations ( Level 0’s,1’s, memos and I-comm decks):
- Draw charts and graphs to illustrate financial reports and analysis
- Assist in completing and processing all relevant deal documentation
- Exits o Gather relevant data to analyse different exit scenarios. May do preliminary analysis:
- Assist in completing and processing all relevant exit documentation
- Portfolio Management:
- Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analysing information obtained from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, and personal interviews
- Gather and interpret data affecting investments, such as price, yield, stability, future trends in investment risks, economic influences
- Analyse and monitor investees’ key performance metrics every month
- Assist in projects such as financing events, strategic reviews, etc.
- Liaise with working level of investees
- Other Projects:
- Assist in other projects and initiatives, as needed
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (electrical engineering major is a plus)
- Several years of recent business experience in Mainland China
- 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in investment or management consulting
- Preference will be given to those with demonstrated interest in the high-technology sectors
- Excellent mathematical and financial skills. Able to use these skills to solve complex problems
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese and good English (listening, writing, speaking)
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
