Equipment Engineer

A rarely seen new plant set-up role has just become available at one of the most respected international company based in Suzhou China. Report directly to the operations manager in Suzhou and functional to the global equipment & process engineering manager, based in the Netherlands. For the first 1`2 years will study in Netherlands and work with Chinese team closely.

Key Responsibilities:

• as equipment engineer you lead projects & activities to ensure a successful start of operations in the new to build facility. you translate goals and action plans into production practice where you integrate manufacturing processes and equipment. you work closely with colleague engineers (mechanics, physicists and chemists) and project managers in various project teams where you contribute your knowledge of mechanics, hardware and (control) software and equipment realization. you are the driving force in the design, manufacturing and commissioning of new process and measuring machines or tools for graphite coating
• based on your content-related background, you are aware of the latest methods and techniques in the field and have a keen eye for improvements and (process) optimalisations whereof automation. your are energized by introducing operational excellence and technological leadership methods while standardize industrialization quality levels in a project-based manner
• being part of an international organization, where projects run globally, you are open to travel and short time assignments abroad

Key Requirements:

• foreigner expert with chemical industry background is preferred
• bachelor or master in a technical field, obtained through training or experience in (mechanical) engineering and mechatronics
• 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar role with sound project management experience and ability to lead and collaborate with colleagues
• a proactive and results-driven attitude and you show ownership

• good communication skills in mandarin and English
