My client is looking for a BD Manager to independently manage import business in China. Deliver annual sales and profit target, as well as liaise with internal & external functions/partners and customers (distributors/retailers) to drive results while develop the brand.
About the Role:
- Propose and create a sustainable trading model in FY19 .
- Review the model periodically to ensure it is duplicable for future China business expansion.
- Importer management on entire order-to-cash process, including but not limited to order taking, AR management and ETA tracking.
- Close collaboration with cross-functions, including but not limited to NSE on sales forecast, SC on importation and Finance on P&L.
- Complete existing Key Retailers successful transition in FY19 to deliver top line sales.
- Deliver quarterly/annual sales target as well as profit target, according to strategic plan.
- Liaise with cross-channel (eg. E-commerce) to realize the all-channel healthy and sustainable growth.
- 40% internal office work – collaborate with Denmark and china cross function teams to ensure all import process to be done smoothly, and discuss and align framework and planning of the business. Complete necessary reports.
- 60% external work with importers and potential KA customers. Frequent market visits to ensure qualified execution and customer evaluation.
- Expect at least 40% travel within China.
About the Person:
- Rich experience of trading model business management, ideally in FMCG.
- Good customer negotiation skills including traditional importers, distributors and key retailers.
- General financial knowledge of P&L.
- Can work independently under pressure.
- Good English on reading and writing, can speak for daily communication (we could out this low priority if we have very good candidate).
- Solid customer management (esp. retailer/distributor/importers).
- Good communication skills.
- Be able to drive results with ownership.
